Standalone Reading Challenge 2013
Don’t get me wrong, I love me a good series be it adult, young adult or youth but sometimes picking a book up that is not a part of one, is a relief. So I am challenging myself, with the help of Icey Books and I Like these Books, to read more independent young adult and middle grade novels this year.
Challenge: To read YA/MG standalone novels
Goal: 15 books
My Progress:
- How My Summer Went Up in Flames by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski
- Winter Wishes Christmas Love by Mary Francis Shura
- Out of Bounds by Eileen Hehl
- (I Was Jane Austen's Best Friend) by Cora Harrison

Happy Reading!
Thank you for signing up for the SARC! I know that feeling of being glad to finish a book and just leave it like that. Not because I love it, but because it was so perfect. I love series too, but it is a completely different experience reading a standalone.

Exactly! So many books come out as planned as series but sometimes having just a standalone is a breathe of fresh air. :)
