A Little Something About Me:
I started a new adventure in 2017 as a school librarian (aka library media specialist aka teacher librarian). Prior to (finally) making the transition into a school, I worked every level of public libraries. I started as shelver (page), circulation, children's assistant, Teen Librarian, and finally a public library director of a rural library. While I can appreciate working in public libraries, it has always been a dream for me to work as a school librarian. I am thrilled I finally got to make the switch. For me, libraries and books have been a comfort, a joy and a lifelong friend. I read for my career but also because I LOVE BOOKS. :) Other than here at at Love. Life. Read, I have also reviewed for Booklist, School Library Journal and Library Journal—I love doing reviews!
This blog is my personal blog so it does not represent the views or philosophy of my employer, associations or journals that I write for so please keep that in mind.
Thanks for visiting and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at stephanie[at]loveliferead.com or connect with me on Twitter [at]scharle4.

Intent Behind Love. Life. Read.
This blog is going through a transition, in both content and look. I took a break (more that upcoming in a blog post) for about four years and now I am recommitted to starting it again, but with some changes. First, I will be including posts and such about what I do and my industry: a school librarian navigating through the ups and downs of it. Hopefully those that are just wanting reviews will not mind that I will be adding more of my work (another passion of mine) into this avenue and school librarians that find me, hopefully you can respect the history of this blog as review blog of all ages and genres and I will be continuing to do it.
My Reading Preferences:
- Young Adult Contemporary Romance
- Young Adult Hard Hitting Realistic
- Nonfiction

- Paranormal
- Romance: adult or young adult with favorites being contemporary and historical
