Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Be sure to pop over to their blog to see what upcoming topics.
What a fun and interesting challenge it is to come up with this list. Let's see what I can come up with:
Hands down, one my sure bets and automatic buys is anything written by Miranda Kenneally. I just love her books! Catching Jordan is the first title I read by her and I just love it. Is it bad to say I have it as an e-book but I am contemplating buying a physically copy of it as well? My justification is I want to pass it down to my daughter to read when the time is right.
I like these titles and I have never written a review for any of them. There is the newest one, And Then She Fell on my e-reader to read soon so perhaps I will write a review about it.
I love this series (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) and I will openly admit I have not read either of the other two exclusively written by him series yet (Heroes of Olympus or The Kane Chronicles). I actually own them and would like to get them read this year. I have read all of the first 39 Clues series and the first one of the Cahills vs. Vespers second 39 Clues series.
I really like this series. It is a great, lighthearted contemporary romance series. The next three are coming out beginning in May with the first one being Just One Kiss. While I have not read the newest title yet, I bet I will like it as much as the others.
5) Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis
Another lighthearted contemporary romance series, I enjoy long series. Like Fool's Gold, this series as another set of three books slated to be published starting in May. It Had to Be You is the next one up. Since I am referencing the series, I thought I would highlight the upcoming title.
I really, really liked this title. I first came across it when I was doing my independent study on young adult contemporary fiction in grad school. I think there is something in this book that almost everyone can relate to at some point during their teen years.
Another book by Ms. Keplinger--I liked her sophomore title quite a lot too. I know it got mixed reactions but I appreciated it nonetheless. I have read it as well as listened to it. Is this cheating? I don't think so. ;-)
8) Divergent by Veronica Roth
8) Divergent by Veronica Roth
I ALMOST did not put this on my list then I realized it was one of those titles I LOVE that I have never done a review for and read before I started this. I mentioned before that I am a contemporary fiction girl usually but this is one of favorites.
9) Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Again, one I did not initially think to put on this list but I loved reading it prior to starting this blog. I actually have Requiem ready to read here at home too but it is currently in a box.
10) The Season by Sarah MacLean
I love this book and have read it several times since the first time shortly after it came out. I am sad that the other two girls stories will not be written as I think they would be equally as good. If you have not read it it is a regency era mystery-love story without laugh out loud moments.
Whew, my list of ten that I love but have not reviewed. It was harder than I thought it would be to come up with that list.
I LOVED Divergent and Delirium. I would have included them ,but I read them after I started blogging.
ReplyDeleteI REALLY need to read the Rick Riordan books. I have heard great things about both series.
Here is my TTT: http://jacquesbooknook.blogspot.com/2013/04/top-ten-tuesday-top-ten-books-i-read.html
Rick Riordan is an amazing storyteller--he makes the myths come to life. I need to get cracking on the other series but it is the nerves of knowing that I love the first series so much that I don't want to spoil it. LOL
DeleteThanks for stopping by and Happy Reading!
I've heard such good things about Kody Keplinger's books, and I own them all, I just haven't read any of them yet. I also want to eventually read a Jill Shalvis book. Thanks for stopping by my TTT.

DeleteBoth Kody Keplinger and Jill Shalvis books are fantastic. I have read all of Kody's books but only own the DUFF. I need to buy Shut Out and Midsummer's Nightmare at some point too. Jill Shalvis, I have her other series on my TBR but I've only read her Lucky Harbor series thus far.

I still need to read Divergent, I've heard so many great things about it! :) My TTT list: http://aliceinreaderland.com/2013/04/08/beforeblogging/

I cannot wait to start on Riordan's books, everybody seems to love them so much. :D Great list!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading, thanks for stopping by :)
He is a great author in my opinion. :) He makes the myths come alive and they are so engaging. Give him a try if you have the time.
DeleteThank you for stopping by and Happy Reading!
I've just recently finished Divergent. Moving on to Insurgent. And Delirium is definitely in my list to read, since I've seen it being talked about everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI hope you liked Divergent and once you get a chance to read them, Insurgent and Delirium. They are all great books in my opinion. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Reading!
DeleteLove Divergent and Delirium, both firm favourites of mine. Catching Jordan both looks and sounds good!

Yay for another fan of Divergent and Delirium. They are two of my favorites. Have you read Requiem yet?
DeleteCatching Jordan is fantastic! Miranda Kenneally is one of my sure bets. :)
Thank you for stopping by and Happy Reading!
Haven't got to Requiem yet but looking forward to it despite the mixed reviews. I think LO is a great writer.
DeleteI have not read it yet either. I hope to get to it soon but there are others in line before it. :)
DeleteI love your list! I actually haven't read Percy Jackson yet, but it's high on my to read pile after seeing it on everyone's lists this week. I might have to buy it. =)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Percy Jackson has been on quite a few I've noticed today too. It is a great series, especially if you like mythology. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Reading!
DeleteI had Percy Jackson too! I love Divergent and Delirium too but those were after I started blogging books :). Haven't heard of some of the other ones so ill have to look them up! Thanks for sharing :)

DeleteMight I say, I love your 'Add to goodreads' widget. Divergent has been on my list for ages but I still haven't gotten around to reading it unfortunately.

Awe, thanks. It is just the button linked to the GoodReads page. I think it makes it convenient to add books. ;-) Divergent is a fantastic read!
