Started by Jamie at The Perpetual Page-Turner, this fun survey is a great way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
Author you’ve read the most books from:
According to Goodreads, the author I have the most books logged from is Nora Roberts. I am not surprised by this honestly—she has been a favorite for ages.
Best Sequel Ever:
I would say at the moment, the one standing out in my mind is Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins as the tension is building for the climax in book three, Sweet Reckoning.
Currently Reading:
Currently, I am reading Dark Triumph (His Fair Assassins #2) by Robin
LaFevers
Drink of Choice While Reading:
Hmm…it would either be: Diet Dr. Pepper, Tea, Coffee or water depending on when and where I am reading
E-reader or Physical Book?
Both! I love holding a physical book in m hands—turning the pages, feel of the pages and such. However, I do have a NOOK and my iPad, both of which I use to read books. If I am traveling, especially on a plane, it is convenient but I also have a magazine or physical book to read during the times electronic devices are not allowed.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
This is probably the hardest question of these to answer...
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld—at that time, it was a real departure from what I typically read at that time. I loved the series!
Hidden Gem Book:
Altered by Jennifer Rush
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
I would have to say my first volunteer job in a library, so back when I was in middle school OR my first library job in high school—that’s when I KNEW I was on the right path for me
Just Finished:
Can’t Help Falling in Love by Bella Andre
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
I push myself to read out of my comfort zone but I still am not a fan of erotica books. I have to have a story--out of the bedroom--that hooks me.
Longest Book You’ve Read:
Intriguingly, Angels & Demons by Dan Brown (713 pages) is the longest book I have recorded on GoodReads.
Major book hangover because of:
I think the one that is standing out the most at the moment is Grave Mercy by
Number of Bookcases You Own:
3—two tall standard bookcases and then a 20 cube bookcase…those bookcases do not shelf all of my books either. I also have a two shelf one at my old house that I need to move to my current house. It would help quite a lot since my books are becoming scrunched.
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Devil’s Bride by Stephanie Laurens
Preferred Place To Read:Either curled up on the couch or comfy chair and when I get the time, in a hot bath.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
From Grave Mercy: “I feel grace. Warm and flowing like a river, it pours over me. I am awash in grace and cannot help but raise my face to it as I would to the sun. I want to laugh as it rains down on me, ripples through my limbs,
cleanses them of fatigue and self-loathing. I am reborn in this grace, and suddenly, I can do anything” (pages 522-523).
Reading Regret:
I think probably feeling embarrassed by reading romance or young adult over “literature.” It took some time to get over what others think about my reading interests.
Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):
Requiem by Lauren Oliver (last book in the Delirium series)
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, Uglies by Scott Westerfeld and Born In trilogy by Nora Roberts (slight cheat there with naming a trilogy over a single title)
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Laurie Halse Anderson—had my moment to meet her at ALA. I about died and it completely MADE my trip.
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
I would have said Erased (next up after Altered) by Jennifer Rush but since I just got an ARC of it (SQUEAL), I would have to say Isla and the Happily Ever After by the amazing Stephanie Perkins.
Worst Bookish Habit:
Hmmm..confession time…I would say I sometimes not resist the urge to skip ahead and read parts. I always go back to finish the book and I am trying VERY hard not to do it anymore. Don’t yell at me too much—it does not happen often.
X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
I am not home to do this right now...I will fill in when we get home/Monday morning. Having to take a guess at it....probably somewhere near Hunger Games.
Your latest book purchase:
Physical book: Goddess by Josephine Angelini
eBook: Enchanted by Alethea Kontis (one of Amazon’s monthly specials)
Preorder: No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
Hmm...I know I have stayed up way to late reading more recently. I devoured This is What Happy Looks Like one weekend night.
YAY! I'm so glad you filled this out!
ReplyDeleteI love the Lightning Thief and Laurie Halse Anderson!
