My Thoughts:
If you are hoping and expecting for a typical romance story than I have to say WHY?! when you can be reading The Resistance instead? Sure this book has some of the typical elements of a romance story: hot hero and tingling bedroom scenes but there is also plenty of twists and turns PLUS a spunky heroine that gives it to the hero as much as Holliday gets it from Dalton. :)
What I appreciated about this particular couple is they are both independent and confident individuals on their own but when they are together they just make each other better. The old saying "whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" well let's just say I am so glad that it does not hold true for this couple because the story would not have happened had that stayed true.
This is the first book of Ms. Scott's I have read and I found the writing easy to read and get lost in, which for me is the true test of great writing. The banter between Holliday and Dalton just had me cracking up and grinning so much that I just did not want it to end. I am looking forward to going back through and reading Ms. Scott's back list as she has a new fan out of me.
