Synopsis:

My Thoughts:

While this is the second in a series, if you have not read the first book, Rumor Has It, do not let that detour you from reading this one. This can be read as a standalone novel. While Skye has had a more priviliedge upbringing being the mayor's daughter she still knows how to work hard and does just that as Landon's new assistant. She is also coming out out a horrible relationship with Vic. 

Landon cannot believe his eyes when he walks into his office after vacation to discover the one girl who managed to say no to him at the bar the night before is none other than his new assistant. Figuring she is not going to make it since it this is her first job period, let alone just out of college, the torture would not last long. He quickly learns that Skye is smart, driven and a hard worker. Now, he is even more attracted to her!

The chemistry between Skye and Landon is hot--both are smart, hardworking and sexy people. When they give into their chemistry, it is off-the-scales hot. They suit each other like no other ever has before. I like the premise of the story but often times I just found myself questioning it a bit too much but not to where I had to put it down. Skye seems like a great person, someone I would want to have in my corner as a friend. 

Now that both Ellie and Skye have had their stories, I will be curious to see what happens with Katie--the last of the three friends who have not met their match yet. Definitely check out Rumor Has It too for Ellie's story. :-)
