Top Ten Tuesday: Books With a Color in the Title

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted at Jana's blog That Artsy Reader Girl

This week for Top Ten Tuesday, you can see by the title of this post we are doing books featuring a color in the title. I have to admit I had to take some time to think this one through. I eventually used GoodReads to scroll through my lists.

Read:

Little White Lies by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
I just read this one this summer and enjoyed it enough to continue on with the series.

White Hot Kiss by Jennifer Armentrout
Another I have enjoyed since quarantined began and I do plan on continuing on with the rest of the series.

Black Coats by Colleen Oakes
I read this in 2019 and it is one that is not well known. You might like it if you like fantasy or revenge stories.

Butterfly Yellow by Thanhha Yellow
This one made our final Best Fiction for Young Adults list this year.

Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
I will be shocked if I do not see this one very many lists as it was such a standout last year.

Black Enough: Stories of Being Young & Black in America edited by Ibi Zoboi
This is an anthology of stories by Black Authors about being Black in the United States. Those seeking to add diversity to their classrooms, libraries, or own personal reading will benefit from this one.

Vision in White by Nora Roberts
An contemporary romance by one of the queens of the genre, this one is apart of her series that centers on a wedding planning business.

Want to Read:

Red Sister by Mark Lawrence
It is on my TBR and I was kindly gifted a copy of the ebook from an amazing online book group I take part in.

The Secret of the Pink Carnation Society by Lauren Willig
Has anyone read this book and series? I keep thinking about it but I hold off from reading it. It seems like I would really like it, if I give it a chance.

The Devouring Gray by Christine Lynn Herman
This paranormal horror young adult book has had mixed feedback. I want to give it a shot and I think I may try it this fall, when creepy books reign supreme.

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg
I love this movie and believe I would like the book as well.

So there you have it six books I have read and four books I still plan to read. What about you--which books that have a color stand out in your mind? Have you read any on my TBR list?  I love to read your thoughts so please share below and if you answer this prompt, please share the link with me below.

  2. I had a hard time with this week's topic as well. I finally did what you did - scrolled through my TBR lists on Goodreads. LITTLE WHITE LIES and BUTTERFLY YELLOW are both on my list today as well.

    Happy TTT!

    1. There were a few a could come up with on my own and more I realized after the fact I left off my read list--Red Queen and Anne of Green Gables specifically.
